Would you like to contribute to one of the first scientific studies exploring the effects of low dose Amanita muscaria in a structured and ethically grounded way? By taking part, you can help bring valuable real world experience into research and support a deeper understanding of wellbeing, safety, and possible therapeutic applications. Your participation may help shape a more informed and respectful conversation around this emerging field.

This retrospective mixed methods observational study investigates the therapeutic potential of low dose Amanita muscaria in individuals who have already used the substance independently in self defined low dose or microdose amounts. Conducted as part of doctoral research at the California Institute of Integral Studies, the study uses quantitative measures, qualitative inquiry interviews, and an Indigenous informed framework to document lived experience, perceived benefits, and possible risks.

The study compares participants’ self reported condition before low dose use with their condition during their most consistent period of use. In addition, the study examines safety, tolerability, and side effects. The naturalistic design means that no substances are administered by the researcher and no dosage recommendations are provided. All reported experiences occurred prior to and independently of study participation.

Eligibility criteria include age 18 or older, fluency in German or English, and prior low dose Amanita muscaria use at least four times over a minimum of four weeks, with the most recent use within the past 12 months. Overall, the study represents an early systematic effort to examine low dose Amanita muscaria within scientific, ethical, and culturally informed research conditions.
